Generally, you may want to use the services of a lawyer whenever you are facing criminal charges and to a lesser extent when you are about about to sign complex legal document.Complex legal document may include but not limited to,
> Signing papers to open a business or form a business
> Signing a contract such as a promissory note, lease or employment contract
> Closing a business
> Purchasing or selling real estate or other major asset
> Getting married, separating, having a child or adopting a child
In circumstances like these you may want to consult with an attorney who specializes in the specific area related to your case. Keep in mind that most lawyers would offer free 1/2 or one hour, or longer initial consultation without charging you any fee. So it does not hurt to talk to a lawyer if you have any concerns about a legal matter.
